Glen Porter – Mr. Vampire & The Deadly Walkers (Album)

Glen Porter hat am heutigen 6. Oktober 2017 ein neues Album veröffentlicht. “Mr. Vampire & The Deadly Walkers” heißt das gute Stück und wurde über The Content Label released.

Altbekannt ist, dass Ryan Stephenson – so der bürgerliche Name Porters – viele Instrumente selbst einspielt. Neu auf der aktuellen Scheibe allerdings ist, dass er diesmal auch Vocal-Parts teilweise selbst eingesungen hat.

Als Gäste sind unter anderem Jessie Jones, Warren Thomas (The Abigail’s), Chris Alfaro (a.k.a. Free The Robots), Lucas Drake und Kevin Matthews mit dabei.

Die Masken, welche auf dem Cover zu sehen sind von Lucien Shapiro entworfen worden. Als A&R / Executive Producer kommt, wie immer bei The Content Label, Dday One mit auf’s Programm.

Enthalten sind 10 Tracks, die den geneigten Hörer auf eine deepe Beat-Science mitnehmen. Produktionen gibt es zu hören von Dday One, Block Barley, 2tall, Dextah, Olde Soul und weiteren großartigen Protagonisten hinter den Boards.

Dday One sollte jedem Beat-Head mittlerweile ein Begriff sein. Hier – zwar schon 2 Jahre alt – ein großer kleiner Mix vom Meister himself. Beinhaltet sind ausschliesslich von ihm produzierte Beats & Tracks. Zwar nur 25 Minuten, dennoch tiefer als manch 2-Stunden-Set.
